Below is a highlight of some of our major project activities. For a comprehensive list, visit the activities page. Stay up to date with PC4A by signing up for our mailing list, and view the current and all previously published newsletters here.
Certification Workshops
Thus far, PC4A partners have offered 27 certification prep workshops to 262 participants and distributed 241 free certification exam vouchers. As of September 2024, 53 students have earned a certification with many more expected in the coming months. Click here to see complete details on certification workshops and exams.
Faculty Development
Faculty development is an important component of the PC4A project. Not only are development activities offered by IUP, but partner faculty have been pursuing development activities individually to better prepare to teach the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.

Faculty have participated in numerous conferences and trainings, earned DoD-recognized certifications, and attended multiple workshops covering technical topics. For complete details on faculty development events offered by IUP, please visit the faculty development page.

Student Outreach/Events
College Students
Activities for college students include hackathons, field trips, career fairs, presentations by guest speakers, lunch and learn events, and support for students to attend industry-related conferences.

K-12 Students
Activities for students in middle and high school include open houses, career day presentations, field trips, competitions, and campus visits.

Community Outreach/Events
Many partners have offered events to connect with the local community. These events have provided cybersecurity education for citizens, offered opportunities for students and parents to connect with employers, and provided companies an opportunity to learn more about the programs offered at partner schools and the benefits available to students through the PC4A project.
