CompTIA A+ Workshop

A CompTIA A+ cert-prep workshop was offered to students to help prepare them for the certification exam. This workshop was offered in conjunction with the CompTIA A+ workshop held in March 2025.

Wissahickon High School Computer Club Hackathon
Participating Partner:
Montgomery County Community College
MCCC hosted the Wissahickon High School Hackathon and information about PC4A was shared with participants, highlighting the importance of certifications and career opportunities.

CompTIA Network+ Workshop
Participating Partner:
Butler County Community College
A CompTIA Network+ cert-prep workshop was offered to students to help prepare them for the certification exam. Four students participated in the workshop, and all were awarded an exam voucher. All students attempted the exam, and one earned their certification.

MCIU Cyber Awareness Fair
Participating Partner:
Montgomery County Community College
Faculty and staff attended the MCIU Cyber Awareness Fair which consisted of 15 activity stations to introduce students to computing, coding, and cybersecurity.

Fall 2024 Apollo Ridge Career Day
Participating Partner:
Indiana University of Pennsylvania
The PC4A Project Manager gave a presentation presentation during the 2024 Fall Career Day at Apollo Ridge. The presentation included details on cybersecurity careers, and hands-on activities for students to practice their cybersecurity skills.
